SCHOOL ANNUAL

Форма подписки

 Favorite school

  How I love school, mom!
In the morning, a noisy crowd
We come to class the very best ...
This class is of course mine.
There is no more beautiful school in the world:
It is cozy and warm here.
  And with our teacher
  We are, I confess, lucky.
  Doesn't swear angrily
  Even if he puts "two"
  A  show businesslike,
Where is the mistake, to us.
Let there are many lessons at school
We will overcome, it does not matter!
  Start at the doorstep
  Our school years ...

  (A. Gavryushkin)

For the first time, the state educational institution "Secondary School No. 5 in Slonim" opened its doors to students back in 1934. Then it was a seven-grade public general school named after Ignatius Mastitsky. Classes at the school were conducted in Polish. The Polish school was closed in 1939 due to the outbreak of World War II.

On June 22, 1941, the Great Patriotic War began. On the evening of June 23, the German units were in Slonim. There was a prisoner of war camp on the territory and in the school building itself.

On July 10, 1944, Slonim was liberated from the Nazi invaders. After the liberation of the city, the school housed a hospital for the wounded soldiers of the Red Army.

During the Great Patriotic War, the school building was partially destroyed and only by 1950 it was restored. The first director of the school was  Daniil Evmenovich Gorelenkov (1950 -1952). The first school graduation of 19 seventh graders was in 1951, among the graduates -  two medalists. The school was attended by pupils of the orphanage, which was located on the street. Shosseinaya, 43 (now there is the Slonim regional center for children and youth tourism).

Secondary general education  the school became with  1950 and was called the District High School No. 5 in Slonim. The school was ten years old.

On September 1, young Lydia Fedorovna Podrezova came to work at the school. She worked in our school all her working pedagogical life.

At first, Lydia Fedorovna worked as a physical education teacher. In today's office No. 1 there was a gym in those years, and of the equipment it had only 2 Swedish benches. There were not enough foreign language teachers in schools, and when the school director found out that Lydia Fedorovna was studying in absentia at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, he offered her to work as an English teacher. And she agreed.

From 1952 to 1963 the director of the school was Zakhar Nikitich Tomashov. Everyone dreamed that the school had its own gym. And this dream came true. The gym was built with the direct participation of teachers, children and parents. On the initiative of Zakhar Nikitich, a school garden was planted.

Secondary school No. 5 in the city was considered a special school. Children of military personnel studied here. And this is a special contingent, so the quality of knowledge had to be kept at a high level. According to the recollections of the teacher of mathematics Drevitskaya Galina Alekseevna: “… we always had a good team at school. The principals changed, but the spirit of the school has always remained. "  Good traditions and good deeds of the school were laid by teachers G.I. Krivosheina, G.A. Drevitskaya, V.A. Gukailo, T.F.Shlemina, T.I. Gulinskaya, Ya.F. Kalinovskaya, S.N. Neklesa - all were awarded the badge of excellent student of public education. S.D. Shkodova, G.K. Volkova, V.G. Zharikov, N.N. Novitskaya.

Pekarskaya Lidia Mikhailovna was the director of the school in 1980-1984. In 1982, the room for aesthetic education (now room number 1) was recognized as one of the best in the USSR. Therefore, a model of the cabinet was created, which was presented at VDNKh. The school had its own orchestra and choir. And the guys actively participated  in city, district and regional concerts. Under the leadership of Lydia Mikhailovna, the construction of offices and an assembly hall was laid, and the construction was completed under Shlemina Tamara Fedorovna (1984 - 1999).

The school acquired its modern look through the joint efforts of the teaching staff, children, parents under the leadership of Nina Stepanovna Ivanova. The schoolyard has become a subject of special pride.  The area occupied by our school is one of the most beautiful places in the city.  In 2009, the school also received a First Degree Diploma and a grant from the Ministry of Energy for 100 million rubles for the development of a student project on energy conservation (leaders M.I.Krikalo and T.V. Bliznyukova).

Since 2013, the director of the school has been Svita Natalya Mikhailovna.

A distinctive feature of the modern school is a network of club-type associations, where children improve intellectually and creatively. The oldest of them (and some are already almost thirty years old) are Kupalinka, Meridian, Albion, Literary Lounge.

Through circles, sports sections, the school strives to develop the creative abilities of students. Every year our students take prizes in the "Hello, World!" Competition, the international competition "Polonaise", etc. Students of the school effectively participate in research conferences.

The school is also proud of its graduates: T.A. Rozhkovskaya, head of the department of BSTU N.I.Sinyak, Belarusian artist O.I. Karpovich, head of the department of medical university L.V. Shlemen, heads of local businesses and institutions.

The school of tomorrow starts today. You can be convinced of this by learning the history of the state educational institution "Secondary School No. 5 in Slonim".
